The Mission of the California Reading and Literature Project (CRLP) is to provide high quality standard-based teacher professional development in reading/ language arts and English language development to ensure that every student achieves the highest standards of academic performance by:

  • Developing teachers’ content knowledge and expanding their instructional strategies
  • Supporting the effective use of the current California State Standards
  • Focusing on academic English language development
  • Creating a cadre of expert teacher leaders

CRLP Signature programs aligned to the current California state standards and the ELA/ELD Framework:

  • K-12 ELD Standards and Strategies (ELA/Literacy)
  • K-6 Results: Academic Language and Literacy Instruction (RALLI)
  • 7-12 Content Area Language and Literacy (CALL)
  • K-2 RESULTS: Word Recognition and Fluency- Assessment/Instruction (RESULTS)
  • K-6 Spanish to English Bilingual Transfer (SEBT)
  • K-6 A Developmental English Proficiency Test (ADEPT)
