WHO WE ARE
GEAR UP R.I.S.E. is a $12.8 million federal GEAR UP grant awarded to the Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE) to boost college readiness. Over the next seven years, ICOE, in partnership with nine elementary school districts and five high school districts, Imperial Valley College, San Diego State University–Imperial Valley, and community partners, will help strengthen college and career readiness for middle and high school students across Imperial County by expanding access to tutoring, mentoring, STEM enrichment, and family engagement activities.
