  • Imperial County Air Pollution Control District & Imperial County Office of Education Hold Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Completion of Urban Greening Project On Monday, October 17, the Imperial County Air Pollution Control District (APCD) and Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE) held a joint ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the ICOE West Urban Greening Project located at the ICOE Administrative Conference Center.

  • ICOE Foundation for Education hosts art exhibit, auction EL CENTRO — The Foundation for Education hosted the Second Annual Autumn & the Arts Fundraiser in the conference room at the Imperial County Office of Education on the evening of Thursday, October 6. Artwork, ceramic vases, crates, gift baskets, and flowers were displayed on tables arranged along the walls of the conference room. Advocates for education and the arts were seated on dining tables with floral arrangements as center pieces.

  • Arts Event Puts Student Creativity on DisplayICOE Foundation Fundraiser Celebrates Achievements Among Valley Youths EL CENTRO — A small, kind of lumpy, kind of scratchy, piece of student artwork was shown to the gathered audience at the Autumn & the Arts fundraiser. Imperial County Superintendent of School Dr. Todd Finnell held up the little clay bowl for all to see, smiling as Miriam Villareal-Marcuson told the story of the piece.

  • ICOE Foundation for Education Celebrates Students, the Arts, and Education "The unannounced dust storm and rain that fell upon the Imperial Valley on Oct. 6 did not stop members of the community to gather and have a good time, and also supporting students to get scholarships as they pursue higher education.  

  • The Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE) Foundation for Education, the county schools’ nonprofit arm which exists to support local educational programs, hosted its second annual Autumn & the Arts fundraiser here on October 6 to raise funds for local students’ education. The event showcased about 25 high school student-made art from around Imperial County schools, with interested art-supporters sometimes buying pieces in auction or silent auction. The event includes an assortment of hand-picked art, live entertainment, and a dinner, according to a press release.
