  • ICOE Selected as New Broadband Aggregator for Libraries To improve collaboration with public schools and improve digital connectivity, the California State Library has selected the Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE) to serve as Broadband Access Aggregator to help connect more public libraries to high-speed network used by the state’s universities, community colleges and public schools.

  • ICOE Foundation for Education to Host 3rd Annual Autumn & the Arts Fundraiser to Celebrate Students, the Arts, and Education Imperial County - The Foundation for Education, a non-profit organization that supports Imperial County students, will host its third annual Autumn & the Arts fundraiser on October 5, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. 

  • Imperial County – Junior high science teacher from the El Centro Elementary School District, Jason Sanchez, has been selected as the Imperial County Teacher of the Year. Having started his teaching career in Winterhaven at San Pasqual Valley Unified School District over 20 years ago, Mr. Sanchez has taught a variety of subjects including English language arts, math, and science. Currently he is an 8th grade science teacher at John F. Kennedy Middle School in El Centro in the El Centro Elementary School District.
