Positive Behavioral Intervention Resources

  • Imperial County Behavioral Health Services (ICBHS) The Imperial County SELPA and its member School Districts  maintain a strong partnership with ICBHS to ensure youth and young adults with disabilities who experience social-emotional and/or behavioral needs receive educationally related mental health services (ERMHS).  Based on the individual needs of students, IEP teams are able to determine if ICBHS services should be initiated. To accesses ICBHS ERMHS, please use the below referral forms.
  • Behavior Advisor includes behavioral strategies, tips, interventions and procedures.
  • CA Dept. of Education Diagnostic Center-Southern : Referral Process & Referral Application- Provides assessment, training, and technical assistance to all educational agencies in California
  • Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL) is a national resource center focused on promoting social emotional development and school readiness of young children, birth to age 5. 
  • The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) is a trusted source for knowledge about high-quality, evidence-based social and emotional learning (SEL). CASEL supports educators and policy leaders and enhances the experiences and outcomes for all PreK-12 students.
  • Dignity in Schools Model Code presents a set of recommended policies to schools, districts and legislators to help end school pushout and protect the human rights to education, dignity, participation and freedom from discrimination. The Code is the culmination of many years of research and dialogue with students, parents, educators, advocates and researchers who came together to envision a school system that supports all children and young people in reaching their full potential. 
  • Intervention Central provides teachers, schools and districts with free resources to help struggling learners and implement Response to Intervention and attain the Common Core State Standards.
  • IRIS Center- is a national center dedicated to improving education outcomes for all children, especially those with disabilities birth through age twenty-one, through the use of effective evidence-based practices and interventions.
  • Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports is an evidence based three-tiered framework on positive behavioral interventions and supports.
  • Positive Environment Network of Trainers- Information and resources on the use of proactive positive strategies for educators.
  • PBIS World is a website containing links to hundreds of interventions, supports, resources, and data collection tools, all of which are organized into the tier 1 through 3 framework.
  • What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) was established in 2002 with funding from the U.S. Department of Education. The Clearinghouse was charged with producing user-friendly guides for educators on effective instructional practices in order to understand what instructional programs have been shown to be effective.
