  • ICOE Foundation for Education Celebrates Students, the Arts, and Education "The unannounced dust storm and rain that fell upon the Imperial Valley on Oct. 6 did not stop members of the community to gather and have a good time, and also supporting students to get scholarships as they pursue higher education.  

  • The Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE) Foundation for Education, the county schools’ nonprofit arm which exists to support local educational programs, hosted its second annual Autumn & the Arts fundraiser here on October 6 to raise funds for local students’ education. The event showcased about 25 high school student-made art from around Imperial County schools, with interested art-supporters sometimes buying pieces in auction or silent auction. The event includes an assortment of hand-picked art, live entertainment, and a dinner, according to a press release.

  • • Autumn & the Arts Fundraiser in the News • The ICOE Foundation for Education hosted its 2nd Annual Autumn & the Arts Fundraiser, a celebration of students, the arts, and education at the Imperial County Office of Education’s new Administrative Conference Center on October 6, 2022. This wonderful evening was an opportunity for the Foundation for Education to showcase student art, live performances, and culinary arts creations.

  • The Imperial County Public Health Department (ICPHD) has launched a joint mental health awareness billboard campaign in partnership with the Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE), Imperial County Behavioral Health Services (ICBHS), and Imperial County School-Based Mental Health Consortium. Funded through ICPHD’s Safe Schools for All program, this campaign aims at raising awareness about mental health, improving access to services, and reducing the stigma of mental illness.

  • Imperial County Teacher of the Year is Mayra Armenta Imperial County – Sixth grade teacher from the El Centro Elementary School District, Mayra Armenta, has been selected as the Imperial County Teacher of the Year for this coming school year.
