Overview
The Business Application Development unit designs, develops, maintains and supports the Imperial County Schools Information Systems (ICSIS), which in addition to serving ICOE, serves all local school districts and the local community college. ICSIS is continually being updated and expanded in order to meet the growing needs of local school districts and the county office.
Basic Functions
The Business Application Development handles the following business functions:
- Payroll with a monthly issue of approximately 5,000 warrants and 3,000 automatic pay deposits.
- Personnel records including: vacation, sick leave and other absences accounting.
- Credentials information system
- Financial accounting with online finance, purchase orders, accounting and accounts payable.
- Budget preparation and reporting
- Electronic reporting to the Internal Revenue Service, Social Security Administration, Employment Development Department, PERS (Public Employees Retirement System), and STRS (State Teachers Retirement System).
