After taking this course you will be able to enter any Part 1 class with confidence.  This class is designed for beginners or those who want to be up-to-date with the new features of Microsoft Windows 7. Topics to be covered include: the computer and its parts, mouse and keyboard practice, Introduction to Microsoft Windows 7 operating system, start menu, personalizing your PC, creating folders, saving and deleting files, working with different drives, opening and closing programs, and printing.

Word 2007

Part 1

This course is designed for individuals who are new Word users or experienced users who want to examine the redesigned user interface and utilize its interactive features. This is a basic class in word processing with a focus on basic skills including entering and editing text, using cut, copy, and paste; saving, opening and printing; and text formatting, such as working with fonts, sizes, colors, and special effects.

Part 2

This is the intermediate level course of the series. In this course participants will work on paragraph formatting with alignment, indents, spacing, and tabs.   Additional focus will placed on page formatting, including columns, page numbering, headers and footers, and sections, drawing tools and graphics.

PowerPoint 2007

Part 1

This course is designed for new or experienced users who want to examine the redesigned user interface and utilize its interactive features. In this course, you will work with Microsoft Power Point 2007 in order to upgrade paper-based overhead presentations to an electronic format. This course was designed for those individuals who are interested in learning the fundamentals needed to create and modify basic presentations using PowerPoint 2007.  In this course you will learn how to create a slide presentation using transitions, graphics, drawings, and basic animation, and will also learn about creating and printing handouts and notes.

Outlook 2007

 

This course was designed for those individuals that have no previous experience using Microsoft Outlook 2007. In this course you will learn how to send and receive email using the Microsoft Outlook program. You will learn to manage your email and all the mailboxes (inbox, outbox, sent items, drafts), as well as create signatures and folders. You will learn to work with your contacts and add addresses to your address book. You will also work with the Calendar, Tasks, Journal, and the Note feature of this program. Create appointments and events, including recurring items.
