Nurturing Parenting Program
The Nurturing Parenting Program offers services for Families with Children 0-19. Services are free of cost. Classes are facilitated in English and Spanish. Classes will help families develop: skills to cope with stress or in an acceptable manner, build healthy emotional relationships between parent and child, reduce family conflict & increase feelings of attachment.

Americorps
AmeriCorps is a National Service Program where individuals 17 years and older are enlisted to "get things done" in their communities across the nation. In exchange for their service to the local schools and neighborhoods, the Members receive a living allowance and are eligible for an educational award.

Friday Night Live
The FNL program is designed for high school-aged young people. Friday Night Live builds partnerships for positive youth development that engage young people in actively contributing to their well-being and that of their communities; changes community norms related to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs; prevents and reduces harm to young people and community members.

Friday Night Live Kids
The FNL Kids program is designed for elementary school-aged youth in 4th through 6th grade. The most distinguishing aspect of the FNL Kids program is its parent component. FNL Kids provides a structure in which collaboration between parents and young people is fostered and connections are made. With a focus on bicycle safety and helmet laws, FNL Kids promotes positive youth development and adds continuity to the entire FNL system.

Club Live
Club Live (CL) is an extension of the successful Friday Night Live program and is provided for middle school students. CL fosters resiliency and protective factors through the development of action-oriented chapters in which positive activities are planned and implemented by young people working together with adults.

ASES
The After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program funds the establishment of local after school education and enrichment programs. These programs are created through partnerships between schools and local community resources to provide literacy, academic enrichment and safe constructive alternatives for students in kindergarten through ninth grade (K-9). The following consortium schools that participate in the program are Grace Smith, Bill E Young Junior Middle, Heber Elementary, San Pasqual Elementary/Middle Schools, Holtville Middle, and Westmorland School. There are additional non-consortium schools such as Harding School, Kennedy Middle, Lincoln School, Meadows, Seeley, Blanche Charles, Dool, Jefferson, Kennedy Gardens, Mains School, and Rockwood School that use the resources as well.
CHAT
The CHAT Program serves victims of abuse (physical, sexual abuse or exploitation, and/or emotional) neglect (severe and/or general). Domestic violence and/or witness to violence in the home, school, or community violence, parental chemical substance abuse and abductions. This Program serves families in the Winterhaven and Fort Yuma Quechan Reservation. Services are delivered in a comprehensive manner under the auspices of the San Pasqual Family Resource Center. Child victims and non-offending family members will be provided therapy as well as intensive case management; including but not limited to assessment, linkage and advocacy. The project will reach critically underserved Native American and Latino children and youth struggling to cope with effects of abuse, neglect and exposure to violence in an environment of poverty, intergenerational trauma, and intense drug trafficking across the nearby U.S. border with Mexico.

Family Resource Centers
Seven Family Resource Centers (FRC) located on school campuses in the communities of Brawley, Calexico, El Centro, Imperial, Niland, San Pasqual and Seeley facilitate esay access to services for youth and their families. The FRCs integrate medical, social services, mental health and education service to provide a holistic approach to addressing the needs of youth and their Families.
With the collaboration of many agencies, the Family Resource Centers ensure the education, health and well-being of students and their families increasing the likelihood of student success.

Hands of Hope
"Hands of Hope" Mentoring Program in partnership with two community and faith-based organizations - Calexico Neighborhood House and Youth for Christ. "Hands of Hope" will engage adult and youth volunteers, parents, and school personnel to work together to extend a helping and hopeful hand to children with the greatest need. The program targets grades 4th through 8th.

Heber Youth Connection
Heber Youth Connections is a pro-active measure to deter 13 to 17 year old students from alcohol and other drug use. The goal of Heber Youth Connections is to prevent youth substance abuse and related crime by providing positive, structure activities based on best pro-active models and helping youth build resiliency to counteract risk factors prevalent in the community.

In Service Training
In Service Training is available to all school personnel, county agency representatives and local community-based organizations personnel. Topics include chemical dependency, gang and violence prevention, support group training, risk and protective factors, communication skills, parent skill training, anger management and conflict resolution, asset development and resiliency.

Proyecto Puentes
ICOE Student Well-Being and Family Resources works in close partnership with Neighborhood House, Behavioral Health, Calexico and Heber schools to better serve immigrant students through Proyecto Puentes.
Proyecto Puentes serves two communities which are Calexico (De Anza Junior High) and Heber (Heber School) with extremely high concentrations of immigrant students. Puentes bridges immigrant children, youth, and their families to mental health services. Bilingual staff provides information to immigrant students and their families about social emotional wellness, providing culturally and linguistically appropriate information about mental health and other services, and facilitating service linkages.
Parents participate at platicas facilitated by staff while students engage in interactive activities during group sessions to build personal and social skills. All activities will be appropriate for English language learners and special needs students. Proyecto Personnel receive special instruction on cultural diversity and related issues.

Safe and Drug Free Schools Consortium
Student Well-Being and Family Resources has available a variety of research validated curriculum for students in grades K-12. Alcohol, tobacco and other drug use, and violence prevention curriculum teaches students social/emotional skills to prepare them to make healthy choices and lead healthy lives.

School Community Policing
The School Community Policing Partnership Program establishes a way to develop and implement an effective approach to dealing with school crime and safety issues in the Heber School District, Holtville School District, and Calipatria School District, which includes Grace Smith in Niland.

Student Assistance Services
Student Assistance Representatives (SAR) work to prevent problems that interfere with student success, including alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, suicide, teen pregnancy, gang violence, drop outs and poor academic performance. Student Assistance Representatives are assigned to pre-selected K-12 schools, including alternative schools, juvenile hall and the Kelley Adolescent Treatment Center. They provide drug education services and identify students in need of assistance,pre-assessment and referrals.
