Eight of the seventeen Imperial County K-12 School Districts welcome new superintendents, and San Diego State University-Imperial Valley Campus welcomes its new Dean.

County Superintendent John Anderson had the pleasure of introducing these leaders at the administrators’ conference in August.  “I don’t remember Imperial County ever having such a large turnover in its top educational leadership.”

A few moves out of county and several retirements are responsible for the majority of the changes. As can be seen in the picture, many of the faces are familiar.

“There are many of our own Imperial County administrators moving up the ladder and we should all take special pride in them,” said Superintendent Anderson. “We also welcome new faces, all of whom bring knowledge and experience to the Valley.”

The community looks forward to the opportunities that change brings, not only in the school districts these new superintendents will service but also in the county leadership they will provide.

Superintendents and leaders at SDSU-IVC and Imperial Valley College have already begun to hold their countywide monthly meetings where they receive legislative and other updates, discuss countywide issues, and work together to make education better for all children in Imperial County.
