Council Responsibilities

The County Superintendent of Schools in conjunction with the County Board of Supervisors are responsible for:
  • Appointing the members of the Early Care & Education Planning Council
  • Establishing the terms of membership appointments
  • Approving local early care and education funding priorities as proposed by the Council
  • Reviewing and approving the needs assessment developed by the Council
     

Fiscal Responsibility

The County Superintendent of Schools has the responsibility of fiscal agent for funds received on behalf of the Early Care & Education Planning Council.
