Partnership For School Success

Partnership for Student Success is a comprehensive learning and planning process that focuses on "What Works". It provides high quality support to Imperial Valley schools committed to improving student performance.

What is Our Purpose?

Imperial County Office of Education’s School Support Team works collaboratively with school leadership teams ready to guide their colleagues through a comprehensive improvement process. Each school will grow as a Learning Organization that focuses its actions on what research has proven to increase achievement for all students.

Who Are Our Participants?

We suggest no fewer than four team members and can accommodate up to ten. Team members must include the school principal, a district representative, teachers, and other school stakeholders, such as support staff, parents and students.

What Are Our Objectives?

Each team involved will participate in a guided process with bi-weekly site support from its county office School Support Team Partner. Each school’s partner provides support and resources necessary to:

  • Establish and monitor clear student achievement goals.
  • Collect and analyze data (e.g. curriculum embedded assessments, writing assessments,  STAR, CAHSEE) to impact teacher planning and instruction and schoolwide interventions.
  • Define elements of effective high performing schools.
  • Identify the barriers to student achievement.
  • Implement strategies in response to identified barriers.
  • Plan to implement identified, specific strategies of an action plan.
  • Monitor and adjust action plan implementation.
  • Prioritize actions and “Stay the Course” to impact classroom instruction and student achievement.
