GATE Teacher Training
(Also appropriate for teachers of Honors and Advanced Placement Classes)
The GATE Teacher training consists of 5 full-days for elementary and secondary teachers on topics ranging from the characteristics of giftedness to differentiated instruction to meeting the social and emotional needs of GATE students. Training is presented my John DeLandtsheer of JD Seminars. Teachers of GATE students in grades K-12 are welcome to register and participate. Participants who complete the full training will receive the certificate of completion.

Advanced GATE Teacher Training
GATE/Honors/AP teachers who have completed the GATE Teacher Training and received their certificates may participate in Advanced GATE Teacher Trainings. Topics and dates will vary from year to year. Check back for registration information, or contact us or your district's GATE Coordinator for more information.
GATE Network of Imperial County
The GATE Network of Imperial County meets as needed throughout the school year to form effective partnerships, network, share information and plan effective staff development for the purpose of identifying, teaching, and raising the academic achievement and social and emotional development of GATE students in grades K-12 in Imperial County.
Imperial County GATE Consortium
ICOE serves as the GATE consortium lead for several districts in Imperial County. This allows districts to collaborate and streamline the services and identification procedures for the students of Imperial County. Members are also contributors to the GATE Network.
The latest GATE application was submitted June 2008. Consortium members include: Imperial County Office of Education, Imperial Unified School District, Heber Elementary School District, Seeley Union School District, San Pasqual Valley Unified School District, Holtville Unified School District, and Brawley Union High School District.
