This workshop is designed for teachers who are “New” to AVID and are currently teaching an AVID Elective class. This is a Summer Institute “Follow Up” workshop. The intent is to further assist “New” teachers with the implementation of the AVID curriculum.

This training is for New AVID Teachers who did not attend the AVID Summer Institute and are currently teaching an AVID elective. Teachers will familiarize themselves with the AVID Basics, the AVID Libraries (curriculum) and will develop an implementation plan. AVID Coordinators are welcomed.

These meetings are designed for AVID Site Teams to come together, providing an opportunity for teams to reflect & revisit their site team goals, assess their current progress & develop a plan of action to meet data deadlines.

The purpose of these meetings is to bring AVID District Liasons together to discuss and learn from each other how to best support AVID sites and principals in the proper implementation and monitoring of the AVID program. We encourage site principals to attend with District Liasons.
