Borrego Springs Teaching American History Grant Borrego Springs Unified is the proud recipient of the Teaching American History Grant. This professional development grant links distance school districts in rural areas using video conferencing to share lesson plans and local culture that teachers can use in the classroom. Join us for the 2006 Teaching American History Summer Academy. Click on the picture to hear from Keynote Speaker Susan Patrick. Susan Patrick is the former Director of Education Technology for the U.S Department of Education and the current President and CEO of the North American Council for Online Learning. In addition to videoconferencing, participants use Elluminate for presentations, data sharing and training sessions.
