All of the collaborative partners were offered the opportunity to set up tables with pamphlets and information explaining their services. Community residents picked up brochures and talked with agency representatives regarding the availability of services and information. Overall, the community reaction was very positive and Seeley residents were thrilled to have a centralized community resource center offering such an array of services. |
|
A number of community residents were pleasantly surprised that many services would be available at the FRC. Cecilia Cota a long time Seeley resident stated, “The FRC is a great response to the needs of the community, I am glad that our people will no longer have to wait long hours at the bus stop to travel to El Centro and obtain these services. This is a huge accomplishment for our community and this is an example of what the coordination of resources and the willingness of people can achieve.” |

The Festival also provided a venue for the FRC to portray the warm, caring and friendly atmosphere they are cultivating within the community and organizations. Attendees enjoyed food and refreshments which allowed people to quench their thirst in a sunny afternoon in Seeley. |
